We are so thankful that you have taken the time to pray and take this step toward membership at Gospel City Church! We are a church on mission to Glorify God and Make Disciples, and believe every member brings a gift that can be utilized to that aim. Our hope is that you would become a part of this family of disciples who Glorify, Gather, Grow, & Go! Please fill out the following information. Know that church membership is Gospel City Church’s public affirmation of your profession of faith, as well as your decision to submit to the church’s oversight of your discipleship. We’re all sinners saved by the glorious, unmerited grace of God (Eph 2:1-10). There are no perfect people at Gospel City Church (Rom 3:23), and part of growing in the likeness of Christ is putting off the old self and putting on the new (Eph 4:22-24). As elders and pastors of Gospel City Church, we count it our privilege, joy, and God-given responsibility to care for and shepherd the flock of God among us (Acts 20:28).

All members will be expected to agree to the following commitments:

I will submit to the teaching and authority of Scripture and the Lordship of Jesus Christ (2 Tim 3:14-17);

I will pursue the Lord Jesus Christ through consistent participation in the spiritual disciplines (Luke 18:1, Act 17:11, John 15);

I will consistently participate whenever the Church body gathers for worship, fellowship, and prayer (Heb 10:24-25);

I will participate in the ordinances of believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Rom 6:1-4; 1 Cor 11:23-25);

I will steward the resources God has given me to edify Gospel City Church, such as: time, talents, spiritual gifts and finances (Mat 25:14-30; Rom 12:1-2; 2 Cor 8-9; 1 Pet 4:10-11);

I will welcome and submit to the loving leadership and care of the Elders and Pastors (Heb 13:17);

I will live in a manner worthy of the Gospel, of which such conduct includes the Spirit-empowered pursuit of personal holiness, confession and repentance of sin, relational harmony, and evangelism (Phil 1:27);

I will seek to maintain unity in mind & purpose with the body of Christ under the headship of Christ & aligned with the mission of this Church (Eph 4:3, 1 Pet 3:8);

I will love, serve, minister to, and be personally invested in the holiness & spiritual health of fellow covenant Members of this Church (Rom 15:14; Gal 6:1-2, Act 2:42-47);

I will make every effort to resolve conflict among fellow Members according to biblically-based principles, as outlined in Article IX of the bylaws;

I will respect the process of Church discipline and restoration (Matthew 18:15-20), as outlined in Article VIII of the bylaws;

Should I desire to terminate membership at Gospel City Church (as outlined in Article 3.6 of the bylaws), I will first initiate a dialogue with a Pastor or Elder.
